real time control systems, Modbus RTU devices, low cost I2C I/O modules, free BASIC compiler software, motor controllers, controllers with color graphic displays
These links are for the Microva BASIC compiler software and manual. The software is used to write BASIC programs that run on Microva controllers and Modbus RTU devices. There's several videos on programming in Microva BASIC. There's also free library software and example programs that can be downloaded below.
The software runs on Microsoft Windows and was tested on Windows versions 10 and 11. To install the software make a new folder, for example, C:/Program Files/Microva/BASIC. Save the zip file to the new folder. Right click on the saved file and select "Extract All" to unzip the file. Right click on the .EXE file to create a shortcut. Drag the shortcut to the desktop.
These links are for the Microva MIPS32 assembly language compiler software. The software provides a simple way to program MIPS32 MCUs in a "pseudo" assembly language which is very similar to the Motorola 68000 assembly language. The software is for advanced programmers who have a need to write assembly language code, for example for interrupts. It provides a free, light weight, alternative to the massive, overly complicated, difficult to use, commercial MIPS32 assembly software that is available.
The software runs on Microsoft Windows and was tested on Windows versions 10 and 11. To install the software make a new folder, for example, C:/Program Files/Microva/ASSEMBLY. Save the zip file to the new folder. Right click on the saved file and select "Extract All" to unzip the file. Right click on the .EXE file to create a shortcut. Drag the shortcut to the desktop.
This is the Microva BASIC software library which includes example programs for specific hardware configurations and general purpose library subroutines that can be used on any device and the application program source code for devices made by Microva which can be modified if needed. Note that links to the library software in any of the application programs will need to be updated for the new folder path where this library is saved.
These application notes are relevant to Microva BASIC programming.
